Jambo! Greetings from Kenya. It is currently 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night and we have settled into Brackenhurst for the first leg of our adventure. Leaving LAX proved to be much more complicated than we originally planned. The added medical supplies which we were transporting to Kenya came under intense scrutiny and caused a bit of a delay. We eventually boarded and landed in the U.K. The weather in London was beautiful and we spent the better part of our layover riding the rails and seeing many of the local sights. Flew out to Kenya from London and arrived at 6:30 a.m. this morning! Needless to say, we are all a bit jetlagged and punchy at the moment. Kenya is a spectacular country. The colors and the landscape are beautiful. Tomorrow is Sunday and we are breaking up into small groups and going to visit some of the local churches within the Limuru Presbytery. Several of us will be either preaching or giving our testimonies in front of the congregations. The medical team will be joining us on Monday, August 6th.
